SUMMARY:Junk Journal Club with Creation Sake
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Junk Journal Club! \nYour cozy\, carefree\, crafty space for grown ups where we can separate from our screens and have a fun\, creative afternoon! This is our place to stop the scroll\, calm the overwhelm of ideas\, and start creating. \nThis space is perfect for seasoned junk-journal-ers who are looking for a cool community to co-create with\, as well as folks who are curious about junk journaling but aren’t sure where to begin! We meet you where you are\, regardless of experience\, and help you lean into creation for creation sake. \nJoin local artist Erika Rose (the owner of Creation Sake) at Divine Barrel for a carefree crafting session where you will learn what junk journaling is\, have the opportunity to play with a variety of upcycled crafting materials\, and meet new and fun crafty friends! \nAll skill levels are welcome & all materials will be provided (a blank journal\, various collage materials\, stickers\, markers\, crayons\, etc.) & you are encouraged (but not required!) to bring any of your own “junk” that you would like to add to your new journal spreads! Junk could be things like: concert/event tickets\, receipts\, photos\, travel brochures\, the possibilities are ENDLESS with junk journaling\, y’all. ENDLESS. \nOur September Theme is “Oh The Places You Have Been (or the places you will go!)” \nThis theme is a great chance to bring together any “junk” that you collected from trips or events over the summer and put them to use! It can also be used as an opportunity to “vision board” (but in journal form) for places\, things\, and experiences that you would like to achieve\, but that have not happened yet! \nThemes are ALWAYS optional\, you can come and participate in the themes\, or you can vibe with whatever creative ideas are in your mind. At Creation Sake\, we stand by creating simply for the sake of it; we do not have to have a goal\, but we have found that sometimes\, having a theme helps calm the overwhelm.  \nTickets are tiered for accessibility\, so here’s the breakdown! Keep in mind\, this event is 18+! \n$25- recommended ticket tier \n$35- our pay-it-forward tier that helps provide the accessibility tier\, as well as monthly ticket giveaways \n$15- our accessibility tier; times are hard out here\, y’all\, and we really wanted to find a way to make creative safe spaces accessible to more folks \nJunk Journal Club is a creative space for grown ups (ages 18+) \nOur wonderful venue host\, Divine Barrel\, is wheelchair accessible (both outdoor and indoor areas\, as well as their restrooms). We’ve got our next Knit In scheduled for Thursday 9/24 🧶 🤩🍻 \nPam @theleftbrainedartist and @divinebarrelclt present the “Knit In” it’s like a sit in\, but with yarn and other fibers! 😁 \nStop by anytime between 6-8pm on September 24th\, bring any fiber project you’re working on (or any portable craft\, all are welcome!) and have a delicious beverage. You can craft quietly\, chat\, or discuss your work. We will be hanging on the stage by the @chromatic.roots panels. \nNot into beer? Not a problem! Divine Barrel has so many other tasty options both with and without alcohol. \nDon’t have a fiber project? Also\, not a problem! Pam will have some weaving materials on hand and can get you started on a simple project. \nArt friends\, this would be a perfect artist date\, just saying. \nCan’t wait to see you there!
