It’s Funkin’ 5 Anniversary week! Are you joining us this Saturday, 3/11/23, from 12-11pm? We’ve got 6 collaborative beers with Heist Brewery, Salud Cerveceria, Resident Culture Brewing, 450 North Brewing & Southern Strain Brewing! Enjoy concerts by David Gibson, Friday Night Vibe & Akita Funk throughout the day, amazing food trucks, and the professional wrestlers at USA Main Event Wrestling are throwing down at 5:30pm! Did you think the Funkin’ 5 Anniversary fun is over after we party on Saturday? You would be very wrong! The party keeps rolling on Sunday, 3/12/23, from 2-6pm with 3 incredible bands for our Daylight Saving Bill! Come out and see Faye, Alan Charmer & Quad bands play all afternoon for free! StrudelTeig will also be on-site serving lunch!
Jon G’s BBQ Pop Up
We’re ready for another round of delicious smoked meats when our homies at Jon G’s BBQ pop up with us on Wednesday, 3/15/23, starting at 5pm! We’re pumped because they’re bringing some special menu items just for St. Patrick’s Day! They normally sell out, so make sure to get here early to try some of the best barbecue you’ll ever eat!
Carlos Can Read
Carlos Robson’s spoken-word variety show, Carlos Can Read, is back on Thursday, 3/16/23! Carlos is an award-winning poet, so you’ll get to hear his works, as well as some fun live conversation with some of Charlotte’s activists, comics, artists and tastemakers! THE DROP Series: Bollywood, Beer & Art
The Drop is making its triumphant return on Thursday, 3/23/23, from 7-10pm! The Drop is a new quarterly cultural meet-up produced by Charlotte Is Creative, featuring the revelation of a new mural, a conversation with the artists and meeting new Queen City creatives to collaborate with. We’re excited to feature the amazing mural work of Namaste Artists Charlotte, led by Shefalee Patel, this quarter. This event will also mark the official release of The Drop beer, featuring this series’ inaugural mural by #BeattiesFordStrong artists on the label.The event will be hosted at Divine Barrel Brewing, and Five Little Birds Food Truck will be on-site serving dinner! The Drop is made possible thanks to our sponsors at the North Carolina Arts Council & Spark the Arts.
Reel Rock 17
Our good friends at Inner Peaks are back at Divine Barrel Brewing to show Reel Rock 17! Join them on Friday, March 24, 2023, starting at 6pm for 3 heart-stopping new world-premiere films centered around climbing! All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to Carolina Climbers Coalition! Ve-Go Food Truck will also be on-site serving delicious vegan cuisine for dinner! Playing for Others Poetry Showcase
Playing for Others is a Charlotte-based non-profit serving teens in our community with a heavy focus on the arts. They’re bringing a group of teens to showcase their spoken word chops at Divine Barrel on Sunday, 3/26/23, from 3-4pm! Come out and listen to the next generation of future artists and leaders! Attendees will have the ability to donate directly to Playing for Others when you cash out your tab!
Vinyl Night
Vinyl Night goes down at DBB every Tuesday starting at 6pm! We’re opening March up to free play every week this month! You bring in whatever records you want us to spin, and we’ll play at least one side of them for you! We always have a killer food truck at the brewery too, so come hungry!
