Kentucky Derby Party
Mount up because it’s Kentucky Derby week, and we’re getting ready to party! Race over on Saturday, 5/46/23, from 12-8pm for the Run for the Roses on our massive projector! It’s a free party and appropriate for all ages to attend. Check out all the fun we’ve got in store for you, and come dressed to the nines (if you want):

  • Races on the projector at 1pm
  • Cornhole Tournament 2pm & Horseshoes Tournament 4pm with prizes
  • Derby Day outfit & hat contest with prizes at 6:15pm
  • Small Batch Mint Julep Amber Ale Release
  • B Cook’s Food Truck with special menu
  • Race Squares for charity (available to purchase in the taproom now)
Shakedown Alley
Get your tie dye ready for Shakedown Alley at DBB on Saturday, 5/20/23, from 4-10pm! We’ll have a vendor market with heady vendors selling their wares starting at 4pm, and then The Grateful Dudes are playing 3 sets of Grateful Dead tunes starting at 6pm, including 2 electric & 1 acoustic set. The Chili Man will also be on-site serving hot dogs, and Head Brewer, Ben Dolphens, is planning to cook grilled cheeses & cheese quesadillas in true shakedown fashion for a small donation to charity. Come let your unusually lovely freak flag fly!
Star Wars Day
May the 4th be with all of you! It’s that time of year again where we celebrate the most wonderful holiday of the year, Star Wars Day! We’re showing the OG trilogy on our massive projector all day this Thursday, 5/4/23, and dropping a small batch of Jolted Wookie, our Coffee Cold IPA, brewed with our proprietary blend of Glide Coffee from our friends at Magnolia Coffee Co. Costumes are always welcome of course!
Picasso at the Lapin Agile
Our friends at Theatre Charlotte are bringing their stunning performance of Picasso at the Lapin Agile to the Divine Barrel Brewing taproom on Sunday, 5/7/23 & 5/14/23, starting at 4pm! Carlos Can Read
The spoken word variety show, Carlos Can Read, is back on Thursday, 5/18/23, at 7pm! Award-winning Poet, Carlos Robson, will share some of his amazing spoken word pieces, followed by a guest performer such as a comic, poet or singer-songwriter; and Robson will conduct live interviews with Charlotte artists, activists, and tastemakers to connect Charlottean’s with where Charlotte is and where it’s heading. Tickets are just $10 at the door!
Star Trek Trivia
Live long and prosper, friends! It’s time for the Trekkies to get their day with Star Trek Trivia on Monday, 5/22/23, starting at 7pm. The trivia will focus on the life of Captain Picard. Enjoy 4 rounds of themed trivia with awesome prizes for the teams with minds like Data! Come hungry as well because our friends at Blasian Asian Way Food Truck will be on-site serving dinner.
CLT Asian Eats Food Truck Rally
We’re so excited to host our very first Charlotte Asian Eats Food Truck Rally on Saturday, 5/27/23, from 3-9pm. Our friends at Banh Mi Brothers are getting a group of amazing food trucks from different Asian cultures to celebrate Asian American Heritage Month! We’ll even have a DJ and karaoke stage outside to keep the vibes at peak levels!

  4. Neon Distraction: Hazy IPA, 7.3% ABV – Hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Citra & Mandarina Bavaria

5/18/23 Can Release

  1. Chest Chop: West Coast Pale Ale, 6.0% ABV – Hopped with Cascade

  • 5/4/23 – Jolted Wookie: Coffee Cold IPA, 6.5% ABV – Cold IPA brewed with coffee
  • 5/6/23 – Into Mischief: Mint Julep Amber Ale, 6.8% ABV – Brewed with mint & bourbon-soaked oak chips
  • 5/19/23 – Hard Soda Seltzer, 5.0% ABV – Brewed to mimic Dr. Pepper
Bring Your Can Tabs
Our next Can Tab Competition wraps up at the end of May, so you better be saving! Bring us as many of the little pop tops as you can by Wednesday, 5/31/23, and you could be the winner of a $50 DBB gift card. Whoever brings us the most can tabs wins, but we also randomly select a secondary winner of a $25 gift card because no donation is too small. We’ll be dropping can tabs off to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte at the beginning of June for their Pop Tab Pandemonium initiative, so help us raise some money to house sick kids and their families!

It earns to be a DBB Insider! Every penny spent here earns you a point that goes towards awesome rewards.
