On Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 11:00am – 11:00pm, Divine Barrel Brewing will be hosting a celebration in honor of its one-year anniversary. This family-friendly event will see a release of two canned beers, barrel aged beer released on draft, a specially curated guest tap list that features other favorite breweries, live music all day and a farm to table food truck serving lunch and dinner. The anniversary celebration will take place in the brewery’s taproom and parking lot, which will be covered by a large tent.
Prior to the beginning of the celebration, there will be a can release of two separate beers starting at 11:00am. The release will include Ice Cream Paint Job, a sweet yet tart Berliner Weisse brewed with raspberries, sweet cherries, blueberries, vanilla and lactose. The second beer to be released is Basement of My Brain, a juicy American IPA that is double dry-hopped with Mosaic, Cashmere & Denali.
There will be several specialty kegs of select barrel aged beer to be released intermittently throughout the day ranging from sour, funky and dark. There will also be a separate list of specialty guest taps. This list will include some of Divine Barrel’s favorite breweries in Charlotte, North Carolina and beyond. Streamline Kitchen will have their air streamer set up from 12-8pm serving delicious farm to table creations for lunch and dinner. There will be three eclectic and talented bands to help the brewery celebrate the milestone as well. Below is the band schedule for the party:
Band 1: Hipgnostic – 1:30pm – 3:00pm
Band 2: Akita Funk – 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Band 3: The Grateful Brothers – 7:00pm – 10:00pm
“It’s pretty crazy to think that a year has already gone by since we opened up in March of 2018. Time flies when you’re having fun, as the saying goes, and it’s been a pretty amazing 1st year! We learned a ton of stuff about a lot of things, we were welcomed into an awesome neighborhood here in NoDa, we met more incredible people than we can count and we made some killer friends in the Charlotte brewing scene and beyond. Oh… and we brewed some beer along the way too!
It’s difficult to put into words how much we appreciate everyone who has supported us on this wild ride… so we thought we’d throw a big ol’ party as our way of saying ‘thank you!’ We love our music, so look for live tunes all day out in the parking lot under the tent. We love our beer, so look for new releases, some special tappings (re-releases, variants, etc.) and a kick ass list of guest beers from some of our NC friends and elsewhere (Hill Farmstead Arthur, anyone?). We love our food, so we’ll have farm-to-table food all day to keep you nourished. Most importantly though, is the love we have for Charlotte, NoDa and all of the people who have helped us along the way. You have honestly become as big a part of our brewery as anything else! We seriously can’t wait to throw down with you guys… and get a little weird!
From the bottom of our hearts here at Divine Barrel, we just want to say ‘thank you’ for a great year one. Here’s to many more,” says Divine Barrel Brewing owner and Head Brewer, Ben Dolphens.
