Oktoberfest Celebration

It’s time to don your lederhosen & dirndl because we’re celebrating Oktoberfest this Saturday, 9/9/23, from 12-10pm! Come out and enjoy our own Oktoberfest beer, several authentic German lagers, games and competitions with sweet brewery prizes for top finishers, Five Little Birds (lunch) & VJ’s Chicken Inasal (dinner) will be here serving German dishes in addition to their regular menus, and of course we’ll be bumping German tunes all afternoon! Cam Jackson’s Beer Fest

As if our Oktoberfest Celebration wasn’t enough… the professional wrestlers from Top Rope Studios are throwing down on Sunday, 9/10/23, starting at 4pm with a little celebration of their own… except theirs is a bit more violent! Enjoy a free afternoon of professional wrestling in our parking lot. There will be belts on the line, and beatdowns to be had. Bring the fam because it’s kid friendly, and our friends at The Chili Man will be here serving his legendary hot dogs too!

Unusually Lovely Open Mic Night

Are you a lover of poetry or spoken word? Consider joining our monthly Unusually Lovely Open Mic Night, hosted in our private and secluded barrel room by the wonderfully creative & free-spirited Kaylene! This open mic night takes place on the first Tuesday of each month, so the next one is… checking the calendar… tonight! There’s a workshop starting at 6pm, and open mic starts at 7pm! You can sign up to share your work by messaging @unusuallylovelyopenmic or @wluvkaylene on Instagram! It’s free, no judgement, and all positive vibes, so no need to be shy!

Halle Watson Book Release

Join Charlotte Author, Halle Watson, on Thursday, 9/7/23, from 7-9pm, for her debut book release event at DBB! She just released The Unmaking of Them, which is a romantic fantasy novel. She is excited to share it with the world that she’ll be answering questions about the writing process, as well as any tips and tricks she learned during her publishing journey. So come eat, drink, have a chat with Halle, and purchase a copy of her new novel!

Hot Tamale Returns

Good goly, it’s Hot Tamale! Our friends from Divine Barrel Brewing’s OG Taco Tuesday fun is back! We couldn’t be more excited that Speedy and his wonderful team have brought their food truck back, and even more grateful they’ve decided to join us EVERY Thursday to serve their same delicious menu from 6-9pm! Come out and enjoy some delicious tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas and more authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine!

Sustainability Game Night

It’s nearly time to welcome our friends at Sustain Charlotte back to the taproom for their monthly Sustainability Game Night! Rise of the Machines

You know DBB loves supporting the arts! When our friends at Curio approached us about adding one of their cool art vending machines to the taproom it was a no-brainer, especially because it features local art. In honor of adding a Curio machine to the taproom, we’re throwing a free party with Curio & Art Cart NoDa on Friday, 9/15/23, starting at 6pm. Come out for a night of art, music, food, spectacles, drinks and more!

Carlos Can Read

We marvel every month at the spoken word variety show we host in partnership with Carlos Robson, Carlos Can Read! Each event is creative, informative, thought-provoking and fun in their own way, and Carlos brings on some of the most interesting guests in Charlotte! Whether it’s a musician/band, politician, entrepreneur, poet, religious figure, artist, or activist, they all have absolutely riveting stories to share. We hope you’ll consider joining us and Carlos for the next edition on Thursday, 9/21/23, starting at 7pm. Tickets are just $10 at the door, and one confirmed guest we can share is Alt-Folk musician, Baerd, who will be playing a few songs!

The DROP Series – Vol. 4

Join us and Charlotte Is Creative for our newest mural reveal with some insanely talented artists from BLKMRKTCLT, including Dammit WesleyCarla Aaron-LopezSir Will, and their proteges! We’re also releasing cans of our newest themed beer, The DROP Vol. #3, which will be a delicious sour brewed with peach, guava & vanilla, and feature the artwork from the previous The DROP mural, DyairArt LaTroy Hampton in honor of CLT Pride!

Level Up Drag Brunch

Paint the Walls: Japanese Rice Lager, 4.3% ABV – A Japanese Rice Lager brewed with puffed Jasmine rice. It’s extremely light, dry, and has a lively carb.

Oktoberfest: Märzen, 5.7% ABV – A traditional Märzen to celebrate the advent of Fall! Our Oktoberfest is medium bodied, has a rich malt sweetness & a touch of balancing hops.

Keep Pouring: American IPA, 6.4% ABV, 67 IBUs – This American IPA was hopped with Citra, Idaho 7 & Nectaron. Easy drinking IPA with notes of citrus, tropical fruit & pine.

The Drop Series: Vol. #3 – Fruited Sour, 4.6% ABV – This sour was brewed in collaboration with Charlotte is Creative and local artists. This sour was brewed with loads of vibrant peach, guava and creamy vanilla.

Carolina Cobbler – Blackberry: Blackberry Cobbler Sour, 6.0% ABV – This pastry sour was brewed with blackberries, Madagascan vanilla, graham crackers, cinnamon & lactose.

We’re Out of Peanut Butter, Porter: Peanut Butter Porter, 6.8% ABV – This creamy American Porter was brewed with loads of rich peanut butter, giving this beer notes of chocolate and salty peanut butter.
